At SantExpo 2026, Jean-Baptiste Perney, CEO of e-sensia, was interviewed by Bpifrance as part of the “French Care Gems” series.
During this interview, he discussed e-sensia’s mission: to put artificial intelligence at the service of healthcare professionals to better detect medical emergencies and strengthen decision-making in emergency call centers.
Jean-Baptiste Perney specifically mentioned the ability of e-sensia’s models to analyze not only words and context, but also subtle vocal cues present in emergency calls. This approach is designed as a true “super stethoscope” to support emergency physicians in critical situations.
He also emphasized the importance of field data and the work carried out with emergency medical services (SAMU) and partner physicians to train models capable of more quickly identifying serious cases among thousands of calls.
Finally, he shared the initial results obtained by e-sensia, with performance reaching nearly 98% specificity in certain stroke cases, as well as very promising results for heart attacks. The goal: to enable faster patient referral to appropriate care pathways in the future, saving medical teams precious time and saving lives.
