Voice AI and Medical Regulation: e-sensia on the YESouNO Podcast

e-sensia x YesouNO

The co-founders of e-sensia, Dr. Jean-Baptiste Perney and Cédric Thoma, were invited on the YESouNO podcast to share their experience on a key topic in medical regulation: making quick decisions with limited information, without overwhelming the system.

During the conversation, Dr. Perney highlights a reality on the ground: in many emergency situations, the voice is the only signal available. The regulation process then involves identifying, among thousands of calls with similar symptoms, the one that represents a life-threatening risk, without directing everyone to the emergency department.

The founders also discuss the clinical intuition linked to listening (breathing, intonation, vocal effort) and the idea of a “super stethoscope” on the phone: a voice AI trained to analyze the conversation in real time and assist humans by sending an alert when a severity signal is detected.
Finally, they emphasize a gradual approach: e-sensia positions itself today as a safety net, designed to support teams without replacing them.
