Will artificial intelligence help better identify severe cases during emergency calls to SAMU? That’s what the Directorate General of Healthcare Offer (DGOS) at the Ministry of Health believes, as they have chosen a solution favored by healthcare institutions in response to a call for expressions of interest published in June.

Developed by the company e-sensia, which recently raised 1.5 million euros from business angels, this system will be deployed in early 2026 at the SAMU of the Hospices Civils de Lyon (Rhône) and in half a dozen other locations in the following months, with funding allocated by the DGOS to the various hospitals.
