French medtech e-sensia, specialized in voice analysis for the early detection of medical emergencies, announces the closing of a €1.5 million funding round from a group of business angels committed to healthcare innovation.

This funding will enable e-sensia to accelerate its deployment in France, initiate clinical validation phases of its technology, and strengthen its technical and medical teams. The company’s proprietary voice analysis AI is already used by several emergency dispatch services to detect early signs of life-threatening conditions.

“We are proud to have the support of investors who share our vision and ethical standards,” said Dr. Jean-Baptiste Perney, CEO and co-founder of e-sensia.

“This funding marks a new milestone in our mission to harness technology to improve patient care and ease pressure on the healthcare system,” added Cédric Thoma, COO and co-founder.

Among the investors are healthtech entrepreneurs, physicians driving systemic healthcare transformation, and AI experts.

Founded in late 2023, e-sensia aims to reduce delays in emergency care by detecting critical vocal cues from the very first words of a phone call. The technology seamlessly integrates into emergency dispatch centers, providing an additional safety net for medical regulation teams.
